Hello all dear Saint fans, friends and family. update...12-21-09 Hellblade

Or is it Hell (space) Blade? I look at the album cover and it looks like 1 word. Hmmm... What ever...or is it spelled, whatever? Okee dokee, here is what is going on.  Dee Harrington is no longer with Saint. He has left a legacy of amazing guitar work recorded with Saint over the years and he will be missed. Bill Brost is unable to make live appearances with Saint due to other schedule commitments. Larry London will learn his parts and play drums for us live. There is a show planned Feb 13th 2010 at The Grand Theater in Salem OR. This is scheduled to be video recorded for a live DVD to be released later this year. We have a limited 'oops' cd print of the new Crime Scene Earth album that was just released. Retroactive Records accidentally released the disc with one song that was a scratch track. (preproduction with odd sounds) We will fix that right away. If you got the new CSE with the weird track, hang on to it. The song had interesting moments, but the new mix on the reissue of CSE, you will notice that the final mix is much better. We are looking into pay per downloads for my personal websites; Mr. Saint Fan and Apoligia Book Store with Jeff MacCormac. Distro of Hellblade and CSE is everywhere. Sorry, I have no copies of the new releases. All Distro is taken care of by Retroactive Records and Armor Records. Rich is almost out of stock. If you want an autographed disc, they are going, going, almost gone. Be sure to ask for a signed copy, because they will be no more. As soon as I find out more about the show coming up, I'll let you all know.
Thank you all for your love and prayer support. If you don't want updates, please let me know and I will take you off of my mailing list. As always, I love hearing from each andeveryone of you. God bless and prosper you!  Sincerely, Josh Kramer of Saint ...hjk joshkramerofsaint@hotmail.com

Update 10/22/09

Support our troops. let's send them things they can use like band aids, goggles, Visene eye fluid, knee pads, chewing gum, work gloves, magnifying glasses, anti fungal creams, candy, beef jerky, trail mix, new skin; liquid wound curative, comic books, music cd's, movies on dvd, and such.
Make them promise not to give it away to anyone besides American soldiers.
Imagine we are inhaling dust and can't see, having cobra's jump out at you, bald faced hornets, scorpions and cactus from hell cover you with stings and thorns. Imagine what would make your moment more livable? That is what we need to send the troops. josh...hjk

Update 10-18-09  Coming up for air.

It has been a wild summer 09! Hell Blade is soooooooooooo close to being released.  The tunes turned out well. I am now working on our setlist for fall winter spring summer shows. Rich and I have been building the show.  The line up; Jerry Johnson on Xylophone.  Rich Lynch on Tuba.  Bill Brost on wash tub and spoons, singing back up vocals. He sounds like Bon Scott vocally.  Nice!  I love having Bon Scott on backing vocals.  We are going to feature this rock and roller in due season on a tune of his caliber and liking.  It will be a delight for someone to give me a break live on a tune or 2. I am singing operatic madness and playing 5 string banjo.  …eh hm… Hey, you’ve never heard me play 5 string banjo? Heavy metal bluegrass.  Yeah baby yeah! We’ll get Rich to sing at least 1 whole song live. I promise! Sorry, Jerry has to focus on his 3 ring circus so we won’t put a mic in front of him. That would not be a good thing. The Album cover is done, the trax are done, uh, what’s left?  I guess that’s it.  It is finished. Well, there you go. It’s for sale somewhere.  Where? Probably saintsite.com so far for starters I guess. I have no idea when Rich is going to release it. I’ll get more distro info soon.  Just, just, …just hang tight. As always, Pre-orders will insure your copy secured. Sorry I don’t have any copies for European markets, Jeffy Mac at Apoligia books, or Mr. Saint Fan yet.  The theme is basically the New World Order thing that’s going on lately. The songs still have the traditional 80’s Apocalyptic metal sound with current enhancements.

God bless and prosper you!  Sincerely, Josh Kramer of Saint ...hjk

Update 07/26/09

7-26-09 Coming up for air update;
Dee is recording for the upcoming project in Rich's studio as I write. My vocals are done on CSE remake and the tracks are getting mastered right now. Ready for release within a matter of days. After recording six songs including the title track of Hellblade, my voice is ready to take a break. Back in the studio Monday to continue recording vocals. Josh....hjk

Update 06/22/09

I just got my copy of the new mixes from Retro Records of C.S.E. revisited, and it sounds pretty chilly.  I was blown away to find out that the spiked hand on the new cover is none other than my good friend and brother in metal and Christ, Scott Waters of Ultimatum. LOL!!! Wild! I love it! Folks are asking why I didn't sing the songs that Rich sang the lead on CSE. Ok, I confess, I talked Rich into it. I take full responsibility for our fun little experiment. Hey, I loved what he did on CSE. Even though I am now singing 99.3% of the lead vocs on CSE, I made sure that he gets to sing a few lines that only he can do so well with his grit, growling, snarling, and head biting way. Rich is a killer supporting vocalist and I think you will like what we have done. More new stuff on the way! Josh...hjk

hjk tour schedule

Hey everybody, I am headed for Salem Oregon once again to launch, yet another grip of 3 albums, and get ready for a fall / winter tour, all in one breath with Saint. Uh huh, I just start to get comfy and cozy here in beautiful southern CA, God grabs me by the arm again, and yanks me out of my comfort zone and throws me into the unknown. Ok fine. I’ll obey the yank of God.

The Deliverance Tribute project is underway.  Bill and Artie have honored me by allowing me to sing 1 of my favorites with Matt Smith playing Guitar and bass, and Myles Millman on drums. “We faint not”.  I’m really gonna have to tighten the vice grips to hit those high notes. YIEEEEE! And there are soooo many of them. This will be interesting. It’s gonna be a good, busy and event filled year. Launch date: Soon. I’ll keep you updated.  ……hjk

Here is a possible scam Josh asked me to post...

How are you doing? fine I believe, I'm sorry i didn't inform you about my traveling to England for a Program.I need you to do me Favour as soon as you receive this e-mail because I misplaced my wallet, where my money and other valuable stuff were kept, while coming back from a Function to the hotel, I need you to assist me with a soft loan urgently. I will be needing the sum of $2,500 to sort out my hotel bills and get myself back home.I will appreciate whatever you can afford to help me with, I'll pay you back as soon as I return. Kindly let me know if you can be of help? so that I can send you the details.  Your Assistance will be greatly Appreciated
Thanks,
John

John, is this really you? if it is you, what is the guitar and bass you sold me and what color are they? What city did I move to after my visit to your house? What was your old address? What guitar got stolen from you that you still had the case for? Uh huh. Yeah right. It smells like a scam but not from John. Saint fans, beware if trick emails like this one from him, me or anyone you might know on line. John or I would never beg for money without working for it. Saint fans, in case you get something like this from me,
let me know! I let everyone know where I am from one adventure to the next. He (like I would) would have informed the whole world about his trip before going. The letter is addressed to no one in particular. John, if this is you, shame on you for not telling the whole world about your trip to England. Tell us what it's like for you when you become a British citizen bro. I will keep the fans posted. John, if you did not send this email, your PC needs a check up, change your antivirus to AVG and it's time for you to reformat. I'm not even sure if that would help. Yeah John, send me the details about your demise. I gotta hear this! You have my phone number, call me. Collect.

Update 04/14/09 - Retroactive Records signs SAINT

SAINT, obviously, needs no introduction.  One of the classic bands in the history of Christian metal, SAINT debuted with the 1984 EP Warriors Of The Son before recording the Pure Metal full length releases Time’s End (1986) and Too Late For Living (1988).  After going on extended hiatus, SAINT returned following the turn of the century with In The Battle (2004), The Mark (2006) and Crime Scene Earth (2008).
Retroactive Records will re-issue out of print SAINT albums such as Warriors Of The Son and In The Battle.  Crime Scene Earth will be re-issued as well, but with Josh Kramer contributing lead vocals on all its track (the original version of CSE featured Josh on just three songs).  Josh will be returning to the studio to record vocals on the other six, which were originally handled by bassist Richard Lynch.  The reissues will be remastered, have bonus tracks, have new or enhanced artwork, and will be be released as digipaks!

Expect a new SAINT album, entitled Hell Blade, to come out on Retroactive in November or December.

Josh Kramer's Update 03/05/09

Let Saint members perform your songs!

Session time is available on line with Josh or other Saint members, including John Perrine. Sorry, John Mahan is too busy with his project at the moment to participate.

Here is what we need from you to do a project where you want me to sing lead vocals and backing harmonies and or have other Saint members perform on your original songs:

1.     An mp3 sound recording of the song with your vocals as a guide track with vocals turned up louder than the other tracks.

2.     An mp3 sound recording of the song without your vocals to let me know how the song sounds with my vocals only.

3.     A lyric sheet is very important so that I don’t use up production time figuring out and writing down your words. A lead sheet with chord structuring is needed for the rhythm section.  Sometimes vocals get drowned in the mix and or, it is hard to understand what is being said.  It is a waste of my time and your money!  If you need your song charted, I will do it for you for $50.00.  I will send the lead sheet with the finished disc to you via snail mail.

4.     $90.00 for 2 hour minimum session time, paid by pay pal or money order via snail mail. Ask for my mailing address in your email to me. More time can be purchased if you want us to keep working on your project in greater detail.

5.     I will need your mailing address to snail mail a CD of the individual tracks each in 24 bit mac files and mp3 files.  All tracks are recorded dry with no effects and in flat response. (No bass, treble or added effects) This is so that you can add and adjust the EQ, and add your own effects as you wish to your heart’s content.

6.   If you want tracks to be recorded with instruments by Saint members, a chart of the song with chords and lyric sheet is very important. This can be done by making a pdf file from a word document.  Instructions for pdf conversion;

1. Save the file as a word document.> hold down the  the control key, and then the p key.  (print)  A drop down window appears.  Click on; save as pdf. You can now email the pdf to us with your songs.  There you go.  Half payment for my services must be made in advance of studio work done for you for each song. A low quality mp3 rough mix sample will be emailed to you for your review of the work done. Upon receipt of full payment with pay pal or a money order, I will send you a CD of the finished tracks, in high resolution 24 bit, 320 kbps files and email mp3 files of all individual tracks within 24 hours of payment. Contact me!  joshkramerofsaint@hotmail.com

John Perrine, formerly of Saint writes:

“I have the highest quality electronic drum set on the market, and I have friends with Pro tools

If you visit my site, you can select a link for the "Pocketfull of Dreams" site to hear them recorded with Sybase.”

You probably have noticed a change for the What's New page.  Due to so much updating, revising, editing, etc., the page was starting to run slower than I prefered, so I created a new page with a new name.  Here is where you'll find all the latest updates from Josh Kramer.  The old What's New page still exists and can be viewed by CLICKING HERE. - MrSaintFan
