Update 07/13/08 (revised from 07/04/08 update)
I am delighted to announce that my book, “Nicolas The Legend”, is now available on line to you dedicated die-hard Saint fans in pdf. Save the trees! The files of each chapter vary between 1 and 5+mb. There is a total of 12 pdf files to download, to have the whole book. Those of you who have supported us in prayer, with your cash, and enthusiasm for so many years, I am giving you all a very early Christmas present simply for the asking and interest. If you want Nicolas The Legend in the high quality magazine size print version, it will be around 15 bucks plus shipping. With the 8 ½” x 11” paperback, you also get the autographed basement tapes-practice jams mp3’s, packed onto a DVD. The audio book version of Nicolas The Legend, will be ready soon. All of the characters attire in the story is now date correct, with some realistic and imagined liberties taken to draw some of the fashions in the illustrations. Again, I kindly thank those of you, who pointed out a few fashion flaws in my drawings and helped me dial them in to the time period. Eagle eye girl rockers with ancient fashion sense, rock! It’s amazing what one can do with “Photoshop Elements”. No, not the $600.00 pro-version, but the trimmed-down-to what-you-really-need-to-get-the-job done-$99.00 software. All of the pics are more vivid and deeper in tone. I took up where my Photoshop teachers left off. (Not counting my professor in my college multimedia class. He was a wellspring of knowledge to us.) A long list of credited, great artists, helped me digitize my doodlings from paper to the screen and back to the paper again.
Very soon, “Saint”, an autobiography by Josh Kramer, (my primary alter ego), will be ready for your enjoyment in pdf. Tons of great pics from times past to the present. The Saint autobiography in pdf is almost ready too. It has grown a lot since the “Up From The Ashes” fest. Aim for their completion date, is for fall this year. Anything is possible!
The audio book version is nearing the finishing touches with new and better music. I found new actors to add more of their own magic. We now have the actual, Ravi Shankar and Phillip Glass performances with permission and his blessing by Mr. Shankar himself. (I still have to pinch myself to check that I am not dreaming.) Once all of the licensing is finalized with them and a other few music publishers, we will launch the audio mp3 audio book version. This takes time when working with multiple publishing companies, so please be patient. Thanks.
Jerry Johnson and I have been hanging out on line blabbing to each other this week and are enjoying the new album. He has some really interesting ideas that have great potential for our future projects.
John Perrine (Drum-maestro on “Too Late for Living”, emailed me yesterday and we might get a chance to visit at his place soon. That will be great! We will jog each others memories of ancient times jamming in the 80’s and bring each other up to speed on current events. Welp, that’s it fer now. Now I can sleep. G’nite…hjk
Coming up for air update, part two. 7-6-08
Below is an email from John Perrine received 7-3-08. He refreshed me about a conversation we had years ago and me wanting to throw in the towel on my book, "Nicolas The Legend", due to various struggles I was having with it. Near to impossible getting licensing for sound tracks, printing and shipping costs for the text book. Sending out promo copies of my book, and CDR promo's for reviews just about wiped me out. (Insert sound effect of a whiny baby and a sad violin here.) (Record scratch.) I remember how I felt facing the mountain by myself and God back then and voicing my thoughts about it to my closest friends. I went through a dry place with it and laid it at God's feet and stepped away from the computer.
Then the enthusiastic letters started showing up about my story a short while after my conversation John Perrine a few years ago, and I got off of my butt, sat right back down and started writing and remixing on it again. Licensing songs is the last hurtle to jump over. That is in process now. I am so glad I did not give up on it. Two great editors recently ripped it to shreds and we all put it back together. Oh, it was a mess of typing errors! I learned how to write a book all over again. Never wrote one before. My teachers and fellow students at the local college I attended this last spring liked what they saw. One of my fellow students in multi media computer class, has a strong authentic British accent. She is a fine actress and I hired her to redo and record new dialog. She did an amazing job.
Another great actress recorded more lines and really dialed in one of the scenes. I guess my final thought about the good dreams we have and to express our creativity, is to never lose sight of our dreams. Who ever told you you can't be a writer, artist, musician, philosopher, sculptor, actor, lied to you. Write. Dream. Create. Believe. Act. Sculpt. Play. Live. Be happy. Thank God in advance for making your good dreams come true in a world filled with nightmares, human devils, liars and thieves jealously trying to steal our dreams and tell us we can't do something beautiful. ….hjk
Hey Josh this is John Perrine just dropping a line. The site looks good. I currently have one of my own under construction. My wife and I have one mossybrae.net

Coming up for air update; 6-12-08
Last night, I went to see Return to forever in a small venue. Stunned I tell you! They sounded and looked great. The audience was a potpourri of music nerds of old and new. I got the new cd. Can’t wait to hear it! I am celebrating not owning a vehicle, nor needing it. God has blessed me with work where I can literally wake up, walk into the next room and I am at work. How cool is that? I have not needed my car since this past September. I love not paying 10 bucks at the pump (soon), insurance, maintenance, and the ever patience-trying stoplights. The market is at the corner. I want to get cozy here but I feel another excursion-adventure on the horizon is about to take place. Thank you Saint fans for the letters. When I come up for air after this next big wave passes over me, (You die-hard surfers can appreciate my meaning.), I’ll be sure to post your letters. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. Thank you Google for enabling all of the dear ones in my life who have found me from eons past to present. Some how the world seems very small to us all now. My prayer for this day is this; May my words be sweet today, for tomorrow I may have to eat them. May those who think they are at enmity with me be convinced that they aren’t. May God bless those hearts whose desire is to bless others. May God have mercy on those whose desire is seek to hurt and harm. Amen. Ok, so I’ve been reading a lot of fortune cookies lately. Time for me to walk into the next room and go to work now. Josh
Update; 5-2-08
Thank you Ravi Shankar for granting me permission to use your amazing songs in my production. To those of you not familiar with who Ravi Shankar and Phillip Glass are, here is a really great pic of them. No they are not a new death metal group. The are classical-modern-day-living-legendary-composer- performers. Their album, "Passagges" is one of the main musical sound tracks that is contributing to my audiobook, "Nicolas The Legend" The final edits are done, and now it is on to the publisher. 100 limited copies will be sold. Some copies will have John Mahan's signature on the bio disc set. I'll make sure everyone in the band signs them. If this batch does well, we'll make some more and repeat the process.
Lunch time is over, it's time to go back to work....hjk

On another note....
Dear fans who live in tornado and hurricane areas. My heart goes out to you. I know of the terror from the sky's in the form of 200 mph wind, ice and water swirling and razing the Earth of everything in it's path. I've seen the tornados of Tennessee and their destructive power.
I just read an article about Greensburg KS. Tornado disaster. If we put as much thought into building an aerodynamically sound, heavy-duty structure as much as we put into our cars and airplanes but with added metal window shades, to protect from flying debris, as are used in desert communities, I have a feeling there would be far less damage and fatalities. Mobile homes should be outlawed in tornado prone zones. It seems like we are chasing our tail with conventional building codes for these hard hit areas. Wha-da-ya-do? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. hjk
Update 5-01-08
Dear Saint fans, I love hearing from you all, and I do all that I can to write back. Due to some recent emails where the person became harsh and argumentative, I have had to enact some guidelines in our future correspondence.
1. I don't give out my personal cell #, age, personal information, or resident address to anyone that is not a personal friend, family or employer. Don't ask. I don't consider a person a friend unless I've known them consistently on a regular basis for at least a year and have had positive history with them.
2. I don't have time to listen to everyones demo's unless I ask for it specifically. I don't have a user name or password for myspace or other blog sites, so don't expect me to sign in or be a friend. Don't get offended if I tell you that I don't want to be a myspace friend or get in a chat room with you. I just don't go there. Nor do I accept friends requests in myspace email notices. That opened up a whole new can of worms.
3. If I feel that a correspondence is becoming argumentative, negative, threatening and bringing me down, I will advise that person that I will stop correspondence if attitudes get testy and then block them. If
the person persists on bugging me, they will get reported to MSN security and or the police. Check the bad attitudes at the door.
I do have time to pray for you, hear your complaints and praises about whatever and enjoy your company. I give the testy ones and gripesters opportunity to apologize and exercise how to be nice. Thanks for keeping it simple and positive. Josh...hjk
Update; 4-27-08 CSE, who is singing what? Who is playing what?
I have been bombarded with this question. Here is a play by play breakdown;
1. Half a times measure; Dee, Jerry Larry, Rich on all bass tracks. Both Rich and I sing the 1st verse together. I sing the pre chorus and Rich joins me on the chorus. Rich and I both sing the 2nd verse. I do the pre-chorus and Rich joins in the chorus. Hitler is giving his schpeel after the train gets rolling. Rich masterfully takes the reins on the bridge and we both sing the chorus. I'm singing all the high stuff. Who is playing the guitar solos? This remains a mystery even to me. Dee and Jerry have mind melted and there is no telling them apart. At least I cant.
2. Terror in the sky. This little ditty features Mr. Lynch grunting and growling it out as only he can do. I'll grab a guitar or bass live and jump into the string section of the orchestra and deliver supporting grunts and growls when not singing leads. (A most welcome break.)
3. Everlasting God; Rich sang the lead on this one. I sang backing vocals on the outro chorus.
4. Crime scene Earth; I'm singing the leads on this one with Rich's unmistakable voice joining me on the chorus.
5. The Judas in me; Rich leads this one with me grunting out the chorus' with him.
6. Too many; Rich solos this one. I'll probably grab the bass on this one and let Rich go nuts with the mic. Something he likes to do every so often.
7. Invader; I'm singing all the vocs on this one.
8. Bended knee; Rich sings the leads on this one as I jump in there on the chorus' backing vocs.
9. Lost; Rich handles all of the vocs on this one.
So there you have it. It is a treat to hear Rich singing. I still can't tell who is playing what solo where. One of those little mysteries we get to enjoy. ... hjk
Update 4-22-08
i have ravi shankar's permission to use his music from one of his albums with featured remarkable artist and composer, philip glass. details available soon. ravi shankar is very peculiar about letting anyone else ruin his music no matter how well played and note for note keyboard maistro danny mayo, a virtuoso violinist and i played the songs in my audiobook, (Nicolas the Legend). now the next step is to get a hold of sony for paying licensing fees. how cool is that? ravi shankar is being way too kind and generous with how much he is charging me to use his amazing compositions as a music sound track underscore for nick. i am blown away!!! thank you mr. shankar. you and your family, rock!
my multi-media / computer class is over in june. so far i am pulling an "A". study hard! i'm taking film production classes this summer! nick is going to hollywood. meeting lots of talented people in the drama and music departments! this place is crawling with genius'. i love surrounding myself with ambitious genius'. ....hjk

Born, baptized and raised Catholic, I became born again by choice at 14, accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart with the realization that he is the only begotten son of God, my Savior, and Lord of my life, the risen King, the Lamb that was slain for the atonement of my sins. He is worthy of our worship and I do worship him.
I lay everything at his feet. He is the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is the Word. He is Jehovah, the lamb that was slain for my sins. He is God. I am his child and my life is a fleeting vapor.
He is the one who laid the foundations of the world and spoke light and life into existence. I hope that clarifies any question in your mind as to who I believe that Jesus is.
Currently I own and do the best I can to keep this wonderful web site built and maintained by Mr. Saint Fan up to date to advertise and market an Audio book called, "Nicolas" and also to promote, advertise products and provide fan club information for the music group Saint.
My stage name with Saint is Josh Kramer. My given name is Howie Kaemerer. When I was a radio announcer my air name was Kamen Whendt. Don't worry, I'm not schizophrenic, all 3 of us are doing just fine.

Update 11/20/07
Dear Saint fans, hello! I have sent out some promotional demos to scores of folks in the music industry that I know regarding the new song from Brazilian music masters, "Dynasty". Nahor, the lead vocalist blessed and honored me to sing beside him on a powerful speed metal masterpiece. Check it out on this page. I have gotten several very good responses for the song so far, except for one. Apparently one of the recipients was someone I must not have known well enough to send a promo to. They replied with an angry response and told me to remove them from my mailing list. No problem. Done. First of all I don't have a mailing list to send out bulk mailings automatically. Every email that goes out is inputted by me personally one name at a time. The angry recipient told me I should have asked permission to send them a promo. I absolutely agree. So I am asking you all now for permission to send you updates once in a blue moon. (Not every day, I hate that too.) When you email me, please give me your permission to update you. Google is so cool! People I've known over the years dating as far back as 1976 have Googled my name and found me. The internet is a wonderful thing. Saint is warming up the engines to launch another album this mid winter. No absolute dates yet. More later. hjk

Josh -- Man, that sounds excellent! Your voice just gets better and better, bro! When is there going to be a HJK solo album? Hope all is well with you, my friend! Ian
How do you do that? Your voice really zips around God's universe here...and enjoyed the voice you dueted with, too. Boy, the track is like audio caffine! - Teressa
i love it. can you PLEASE PLEASE send me a cd hard copy of this song? LOVE the song!!!! glad ur using your gifts for jesus. good job sir - Tom
Nice duet between you and Nahor. I have Dynasty's first release, "Motus Perpetuus", but hadn't heard anything from them lately... until now. Sounds like you were s-t-re-t-c-h-i-n-g the vocal cords a bit several times in the song there, I kept waiting for them to snap and then hear the sound like the old film reels when it reaches the end of one reel and starts flapping on the other as it spins! It's a good song though, I liked it! Thanks for sending it. - Ross

my trip to mary's peak. we took lots of pics of the trek. 4,000+ feet up and back to base camp through some of oregons last remaning old growth stands protected from comercial interests.
the full lunar eclipse happened the previous night but we did manage to see a piece of it shadowing the top of the moon. didn't see any reminants of the meteor shower. but that's ok.
it was a beautiful and magical stroll for our team of 5 hikers in and out of the old growth in one of the few protected national forest park reserves.
we got some spectacular pics of the hike - the summit is surrounded by a vast meadow that has been that way for centuries created by the kalapuyas indians for raising food and hunting.
since they haven't been around for a long while to maintain the medow, the tree line is slowly making it's way back up the hill.
